The Valence is a polycarbonate shell wrapped in a full-perimeter aluminum EdgeFrame™. The shell takes an impact and flexes back. The frame closes the case along its entire edge and locks with dual latches, so there is no zipper to split. Two TSA-approved combination locks. Hinomoto spinner wheels with shock-absorbing springs. Inside, a recycled polyester lining and a water-resistant wet/dry pocket.
Lunar Silver is the quietest of the four finishes. It reads as polished aluminum against the polycarbonate, and it holds up in a way photographs do not quite capture until the case has a few trips on it.
